Q: When should you start your bridal skin routine?
No matter how much time until your big day, from one year until two weeks out, we can tailor a treatment plan to help you achieve that luminous wedding glow. Our recommendation for the perfect skin time line is 6 months. This allows for a series of treatments to maximise results.
“We overhauled my entire skincare routine. I was using too many products, not to mention the wrong products. Over the next 6 months, I visited Kaye and her team where I underwent a series of peels and procedures that were all part of Kaye's plan to have my skin looking radiant, glowing and fresh. Makeup can only look so good - it's all about the canvas. I also adopted a new routine at home using some beautiful products, including The Moisturiser. I recommend brides-to-be to arrange a consultation at The Clinic. The wonderful team will have you on the way to gorgeous skin” - Melissa Kervinen
If you've only got 2 weeks?
We offer many treatments that create instant glowing skin, with a little pampering along the way. Our recommendation 2 weeks out is Dermablading and a Blueberry Antioxidant Peel or Societe Oxygenation Peel. Both leave leave your skin fresh and glowing with no downtime and optimise makeup application.

Q: What is the most popular Treatment for Brides?
Everyone’s skin is different so it’s really important to have a plan established before we start you on your skincare journey. Our registered nurses will make specific recommendations at your initial consultation in line with your timeline and budget.
Our most popular treatment for brides is our signature Blueberry Antioxidant Peel by Cosmedix. The Blueberry Peel is jam-packed with antioxidants giving you brighter skins with an instant glow. It also contains a light lactic acid which exfoliates and helps soften the skin. This is one of the go-to bridal treatments as creates a fresh and clean complexion with no downtime.
“The Clinic was recommended to me by many people and finally by my wedding planner Georgie from After The Rock, which pushed me to take the first step and come in for a treatment. I’ve always felt comfortable coming in to The Clinic as they've always known what’s best for my skin and what it was going through. It’s also been great trying a few different treatments to see what I like best. I started with something gentle like the Blueberry Peel and the HydraFacial which I still love as it gives me a deep clean” - Maria Jovanova
Another popular treatment is the Intense Pulsed Light Rejuvenation (IPL), perfect for treating pigmentation, discolouration, redness and broken capillaries, leaving you with a beautifully even skin tone that requires less makeup. For best results we recommend a course of three IPL treatments, with the final one a month before the wedding.
Dermablading (also known as Dermaplaning) is where we use a surgical blade to shuffle backwards and forwards on the skin to remove that fine hair on your face (‘peach fuzz’). We don’t use any active ingredients, so it’s also a great treatment for sensitive skin types. This helps create a smooth, flawless base so makeup will sit perfectly on your skin for the big day.

Q: How should I treat my Pigmentation?
If you have pigmentation concerns we’d recommend starting treatments at least 6 months out from the wedding, to allow sufficient time for the skin to rejuvenate. Fraxel is still our most transformative treatment for stubborn pigmentation or scarring. A combination or IPL and Timeless Retinol Peels can also be effective. Pigmentation comes in many different forms so our nurses will consult with you to devise a custom treatment plan that suits.

We also have a blog post all about pigmentation and the best products to combat it - An Expert Guide To Pigmentation.
Q: Can I have Injectables before the Wedding?
If you haven’t had injectables before, we’d recommend coming in at least 6 months before the wedding, this is an important time so we can see how the product sits in the skin and if you like the way it looks.
Anti-Wrinkle Injections in the frown lines, forehead lines and crows feet are the most popular for our brides. The final treatment should be 4 weeks before the wedding as the products takes 2 weeks to kick in and leave time for a top up if required.
Q: The Clinic Number 1 tip for brides?
Use products with quality, active ingredients! You need to support your treatments with the right at-home routine. Our signature products are affordable and versatile staple products that ensure your skin gets what it needs on a day to day basis.
It’s important to keep your skin clean all the time. Our Cleansing Pads ($60) give you that perfect on-the-go cleanse, jammed packed with Micellar Water and Chamomile. The Moisturiser ($88) is packed full of Peptides for tightening and firming the skin, with Sea Buckthorn for calming and reducing redness.
Once you have your staple products we next recommend incorporating a Face Mask. Used 1-3 times a week, Face Masks contain ingredients in higher concentrations so you can mimic a clinic-style treatment from home, keeping your skin in top condition. This is a must for brides planning destination weddings.

Q: After The Rock Number 1 Tip for Brides?
Once engaged, sit down with your partner and discuss what is most important to you. I like to break this in to 5 basic categories
- Logistics and Planning
- Food and Drinks
- Styling and aesthetics
- Entertainment
- Photography and videography
Now look at that list and individually order these in your own priorities from 1 to 5. Then have a look at each others answers. Sometimes, you will be completely in sync - and other times you won't. This will help guide your decisions throughout the process. For example, you might say top quality Food and Drink are THE most important thing for you - so you may choose your venue or caterer based on this and invest more on this component - and if say entertainment is a lower priority maybe you opt for a DJ instead of a band to save on costs. It will help you make less emotional decisions along the way.
