- Immediately smooth and supple complexion
- Sensitive, dull or ageing skin
- Removing 'peach fuzz'
WHAT IS DERMABLADING?
First and foremost, dermablading is a manual form of exfoliation, using a small blade to scrape away dead skin cells from the epidermis, to reveal the fresh, brighter skin beneath. Dermablading is also useful to remove unwanted hair on the face. An example of this is 'peach fuzz', the fine hairs around the neck and chin area.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
- Increased circulation and skin radiance
- Better penetration of skin care products
- Smooth and flawless makeup application
As Dermablading does not use any active ingredients, it is a great treatment for sensitive skins, and safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
WHAT ARE THE RISKS?
At The Clinic, we employ only doctors and nurses to ensure the highest quality of care. Dermablading is extremely safe when performed by trained professionals. On rare occasions, slight nicks can occur in the skin, which is why we don't recommend this treatment for people with acne.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Results are evident after a single treatment. Best results come from 2-3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING MY TREATMENT?
We start with a thorough cleanse of the face. The treatment is then performed by one of our trained doctors or nurses, using a sterile scalpel to stroke along the skin, in a way similar to shaving. The whole treatment takes 30 minutes.
IS IT PAINFUL?
You may experience a tingling or tightening sensation in the skin, similar to that of regular shaving, but no pain.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER MY TREATMENT?
Fresh, glowing skin! There is no downtime with dermablading. Immediately after the treatment, your skin will feel really smooth and any peach fuzz will be gone. Makeup will go on smoothly and beautifully.
WHAT PRECAUTIONS SHOULD I TAKE PRE AND POST TREATMENT?
There are no special requirements for Dermablading. You can apply makeup, exercise and bathe as usual after your treatment.
We always recommend the use of sunscreen to prevent sun damage to the skin. Sunscreen with SPF 30 or above should be used daily. If you are under the sun for prolonged periods of time, sunscreen needs to be reapplied at least once every two hours.
